Debbie W. Smith
Chief Executive Officer

Debbie is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana and has been with Highland Clinic since 1993. She is a CPA and served as CFO for 16 years prior to becoming CEO in 2015. She has worked in the medical industry for over 30 years in various capacities within the hospital setting as well as a multi-specialty physician practice. The mission of Highland Clinic is to exceed public expectations for comprehensive, convenient and quality healthcare for all generations.

Michael Gustavson
Chief Financial Officer

Michael joined Highland Clinic in April 2014. He has a B.S. in chemistry from Texas A&M, an M.S. in chemistry from the University of Illinois, and an M.B.A. from LSU. He has worked in healthcare and physician practice management for his entire career. Michael and his wife Tess are both Shreveport natives, and they have one child.
